Clemmons Rotary Hosts 21st Annual Clemmons Rotary Golf Classic

Golfers were met with beautiful weather, wonderful hospitality, and a great golf course at Bermuda Run West on Friday. 80 players teed it up to help provide monies for local charities and Rotary projects and the event was a huge success. Golfers were flighted into two flights and the winning foursomes received $70 per player in a Captain’s Choice format. The winners of the First Flight were the team of Scott Spillman, Mike Spillman, Josh Allen, and Dave Coulombe. The winners of the Second Flight were the team of Mark Smith, Dee Smith, Jerry Brooks, and David Liner.

There were multiple Hole-In-One opportunities provided by Modern Automotive, Flow Motors, and Windsor Jewelers, but no winners this year. Prizes were awarded for Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin. There was also a “Tip from the Pro” sponsored by Marzano Capital, where each player had a video of their swing and a Pro’s tip in how to improve it.

Hanes Brands was the Title Sponsor this year and Gold Sponsors included Marzano Capital Group, Cameron Insurance, Hayworth Miller, and the Clemmons Community Foundation. Costco provided some beverages and snacks for the golfers and a light dinner by Bermuda Run and awards ceremony followed the event.
