West Forsyth High School Interact Club Makes Donation to the Polio Plus Campaign
On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, students from the West Forsyth High School Interact Club presented a check to the Rotary Club of Clemmons for the Rotary International Polio Eradication Campaign.
Spearheaded by WFHS teacher Leslie Martin, and Rotarian Dr. Aaron Horne, the Interact students held various fund raising events including selling candy and volunteering for various local service projects. Ms. Martin said “The students develop their own advisory board to determine the clubs priority and to allow them to plan, organize, implement, and document their service activities and it is a pleasure to see them give both their time and their treasure to improve our community”. Dr. Horne said “We have a very strong bond with Ms. Martin and the entire West Forsyth High School administration, and it is very gratifying to know these kids are our future.”
