Rotary Club of Clemmons Raises Over $25,000 for Service Projects at Reverse Cash Raffle

The Rotary Club of Clemmons held their biggest fund raiser of the year at the Village Inn Event Center in Clemmons — the Annual “$10,000 Reverse Cash Raffle”. The theme “Rotary is the Heart of Clemmons” brought over 250 attendees to attend the fun event for a chance to win the $10,000 first prize, all while raising an anticipated $25,000 for local, national, and international causes supported by the Rotary Club of Clemmons.

On-Air personality J.R. Snider of AM600 WSJS Radio served as the Master of Ceremonies and auctioned off many valuable prizes, including $1,500 in jewelry, a silver fox scarf, and the use of an upscale condo in Asheville. The $10,000 Raffle Prize was split among the final five ticket holders of the drawing, with $2,000 going to each of the five lucky winners. A ticket to the annual event included full meal, two free drinks plus cash bar, fellowship, live auctions, silent auctions, and dancing to music provided by Mr. Bill’s Productions.

Paul Johnson, event Chairperson, said “It is great to see the community come out and give their financial support to the Rotary Club of Clemmons year after year by attending this event. Over $400,000 has been raised over the past twenty-one years through this annual fundraising project.”
