The Rotary Club of Clemmons Will Host 19th Annual “Hand-in-Hand”
It is that time of the year again – the Holiday Season! The Rotary Club of Clemmons is currently working on their 19th Annual “Hand-in-Hand” Event for 275 low-income children. This year’s event will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013. It starts at Agape Faith Church in Clemmons with dinner, games, entertainment, a spiritual message, prizes, and a gift bag for each child. The evening will end with a tour of the Tanglewood Light Festival on buses donated by the Jerry Long YMCA. For most of these children, this will be the major event in their holiday season.
The Rotary Club of Clemmons raises funds to provide the evening events and could use the help of the public in making this annual project a success. Donations of toys, clothes, educational items, and money would help greatly. If you are interesting in making a contribution, please contact this year’s Rotary Hand-in-Hand Project Chairman, Gary Howorka, at 336-970-3190 or ghoworka@reagan.com.
